Who We Are

The NW Substance Abuse and Recovery Alliance (NWSARA) is incorporated in the State of Washington as a nonprofit and is an IRS Code Sec. 501c (3) tax exempt organization. It is not in the business to make money. NWSARA was founded to support organizations in financial need that offer long-term substance abuse treatment. Specifically, when that substance abuse treatment is based on the 12-step Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) program with a sober living requirement. This support includes providing facilities to help carry out treatment goals. Recently, NWSARA expanded its mission to raise funds for scholarships and grants, aiding both organizations and individuals committed to long-term recovery.
